Hospital for Special Surgery’s Kellen Tower, opened in 2026, is a new 95,000 square foot 12-story addition connected to the Main Hospital and Pavilion buildings. Built over the FDR drive on the Upper East side of Manhattan, the new facility houses inpatient rooms, imaging services, and clinical and academic spaces.
HDG was hired to develop a comprehensive donor recognition plan. Our team worked in collaboration with HSS to develop donor recognition tiers, which included sets of sizes for dimensional letters and plaques. This system was designed to work within the context of the Kellen Tower architecture but will also serve as a baseline standard for HSS in the future.
